Peters Urges Horsford to Remove Anti-ICE Post
Las Vegas, NV…Today Sam Peters, United States Air Force veteran who will be formally declaring for Congress in the near future, urged Congressman Steve Horsford to remove his anti-ICE Facebook post.
“Having put my life on the line to protect our great nation, I am truly disappointed with Congressman Steve Horsford’s Facebook post on how to evade ICE. We are a nation of laws. The Congressman swore to uphold the constitution. This post telling people who illegally came to our country how to resist goes against his sworn duty,” said Peters.
20 hours ago Horsford posted on this Congressional Facebook page step by step advice on how to avoid Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“We need a Congressman who will support law enforcement — not undermine them. There is a legal way to come to our country. As a Congressman, Horsford should be encouraging legal immigration not illegal. He is aiding law breakers. Horsford should remove the post immediately and apologize to the men and women of ICE,” said Peters.
“We are a great and welcoming nation for immigrants who go thru the legal process of coming to our country. Congress could increase the numbers for legal immigrants. Instead they want to play political games and jeopardize our national security. An open borders policy is dangerous,” said Peters. “Horsford has once again put illegal aliens ahead of our legal residents. He doesn’t belong in Washington representing us.”
Peters is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served his country in Afghanistan, Iraq, Panama, and Korea. He earned the Bronze Star for his efforts in Afghanistan.
After his service to our nation, Peters settled in Las Vegas with his family. Peters worked for two years as a corporate employee where he managed nearly $100 million in annual revenue across the largest geographical region in the United States. Exercising his entrepreneurial spirit, Peters founded Peters Family Insurance with two locations. He presently employs eight.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Park University. He finished his Master of Science in Administration, with focus on law, through Central Michigan University. His continued thirst for knowledge, has also led him through a Graduate-Level Certificate Program in Organizational Finance from the University of Maryland University College.
