For Immediate Release Contact: Committee to Elect Sam Peters
January 8, 2020
Las Vegas, NV…Today Sam Peters, United States Air Force veteran and Republican candidate for Congress, called Horsford missing in action (MIA) for district.
“Where’s Horsford? He held no town hall meetings over the Christmas break. In fact, he has held no town hall meetings since last October. Once again, he is showing us that he is more interested in DC than Vegas,” said Peters.
Horsford has not held a town hall meeting since October 5, 2019. His failure to hold meetings strongly indicates that he is avoiding addressing the issue of impeachment and doesn’t want to answer to the people why Congress is only focused on partisan politics.
“I hope that Congressman Horsford will have the courage of his convictions to hold a town hall meeting this weekend. Like many other veterans and voters, we want to know why he is not standing with the President on national security and killing General Soleimani,” challenged Peters.
As the next Congressman, Peters is committed to being available to the residents. He is the only candidate who has promised to hold regular office hours and hold a minimum of 12 town hall meetings.
“We need a Congressman who will put people first. My priority will be Nevada not DC,” said Peters. “As the next Congressman, I will be here at home when the House is not in session. The people of this district will be my top priority rather than taking marching orders from Speaker Pelosi.”
