Las Vegas, NV…Today Sam Peters, United States Air Force veteran and Re- publican candidate for Congress in Nevada’s 4th District, announced he has filed his Quarterly Federal Election Commission report with more than $100,000.
“Having put my life on the line to protect our freedoms, I am fully committed to this race for Congress. We need Congressional members focused on important issues rather than political gamesmanship. Congress has done absolutely nothing since Horsford voted to make Nancy Pelosi Speaker of the House once again. It is time to elect a veteran who will put people ahead of politics,” said Peters.
“I am not a career or failed politician. Nor am I a political insider. I am not look- ing for a job. I am a decorated Veteran and an award-winning small business own- er who wants Congress to focus on good policy, not politics. As a first-time candidate, I am incredibly pleased with our fundraising and grassroots organization and the overall outpouring of support from the people who matter most, voters,” said Peters.
The Air Force veteran doesn’t believe that money will be the determining factor in this race for Congress, but rather it will be grassroots campaigning.
“We have the most aggressive grassroots outreach of all the campaigns. I am listening to the voters and taking our campaign message directly to them,” said Peters. “Voters are responding to my plan on how to end the problem of illegal immigration.”
Peters has the largest growth in social media since campaigning began and has developed the largest volunteer organization, which is growing on a daily basis. Moreover, he is the only GOP candidate to hold town hall meetings throughout the district. He is also the only candidate with a fully-developed plan to end illegal immigration.
“Career politicians have made a mess of our federal government. Professional politicians and the political insiders are not going to get it done. I will,” said Peters.
