Horsford Must Be Defeated

Las Vegas, NV…Today Sam Peters, United States Air Force veteran and Republican candidate for Congress in Nevada’s 4th District, expressed disappointment that his primary opponents refused to sign a Republican Unity Pledge. Peters sent last week the pledge to the declared candidates in the June 9th Republican Primary.

“We need to be united after the primary in defeating Congressman Horsford. I was hoping that my primary opponents were as committed as I am to winning this pivotal seat. I still encourage them to do the right thing and sign the pledge,” said Peters.

The Republican Unity Pledge simply asks Peters’ opponents to unify after the June 9th GOP Primary behind the nominee to defeat Congressman Horsford. He or she would encourage his or her supporters to join the nominee’s team.

Peters has emailed the pledge to the other Republican candidates including Rebecca Woods, Randi Reed, James Marchant, Leo Blundo, Charles Navarro, Catherine Prato, and Lisa Song Sutton.

“As a father, husband, business owner, and veteran, I understand what is at stake in the next election. We cannot afford another 2 years of Horsford’s extreme liberal agenda. Having put my life on the line to protect our nation and having served in a law enforcement unit, I am greatly disturbed by the Congressman’s active effort to help illegal immigrants evade police. We need a Congressman who will uphold their oath of office and stand by our Constitution. Moreover, we have to stop the socialization of our nation and the giveaway agenda that will bankrupt us,” said Peters.

Peters is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served his country in Afghanistan, Iraq, Panama, and Korea. He earned the Bronze Star for his efforts in Afghanistan.

After his service to our nation, Peters settled in Las Vegas with his family. Peters worked for two years as a corporate employee where he managed nearly $100 million in annual revenue across the largest geographical region in the United States. Exercising his entrepreneurial spirit, Peters founded Peters Family Insurance with two locations. He presently employs eight.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Park University. He finished his Master of Science in Administration, with focus on Law, through

Central Michigan University. His continued thirst for knowledge also led him through a Graduate-Level Certificate Program in Organizational Finance from the University of Maryland University College.
