Horsford Sells Out
Las Vegas, NV…Today Sam Peters, United States Air Force veteran, Bronze Star recipient, and Republican candidate for Congress in Nevada’s 4th District, accused Congressman Steve Horsford of selling out Nevada.
“For Horsford, politics pays. When he lost his seat last time, he landed on his feet in DC with a lobbying gig. Now he is swimming in the swamp with Pelosi focused only on partisan politics. Once again, it pays well for him. Last week the DCCC launched pricey ads for him and this week he is appointed to House Ways and Means. It is his win and our loss,” said Peters.
Pelosi has appointed Horsford to the House Ways and Means Committee and last week the DCCC released digital ads in support of protecting Horsford in an obvious attempt to change the subject away from impeachment.
“Being a loyal Pelosi puppet on impeachment pays. You get campaign ads in attempt to save the seat and plum committee assignments. Will she be sending a gift basket as well?” asked Peters.
“All substantive work in DC has stalled due to impeachment. Nothing is getting done for the people. Congress has handed everyone one a big piece of coal for Christmas,” said Peters.
Four weeks ago, Peters challenged Horsford to an hour-long debate regarding impeachment. Horsford has refused to respond to date. Peters is hoping that during the Christmas break that the incumbent can spare an hour to debate him on impeachment.
“My invitation to debate still stands. I believe that Horsford should explain why impeachment is so imperative to our nation. On the other hand, I think Congress should do their job and stop all the political gamesmanship,” said Peters.
Peters has sent a letter to Congressman Horsford stating that he is willing to meet him any time and any place in the 4th Congressional district to debate.
Peters is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served his country in Afghanistan, Iraq, Panama, and Korea. He earned the Bronze Star for his efforts in Afghanistan.
After his service to our nation, Peters worked for two years as a corporate employee where he managed nearly $100 million in annual revenue across the largest geographical region in the United States. Peters settled in Las Vegas with his family, and exercising his entrepreneurial spirit, Peters founded Peters Family Insurance with two locations. He presently employs eight.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Park University. He finished his Master of Science in Administration, with focus on law, through Central Michigan University. His continued thirst for knowledge, has also led him through a Graduate-Level Certificate Program in Organizational Finance from the University of Maryland University College.
