Peters Has Economic Questions for Horsford

Las Vegas, NV…Today Sam Peters, United States Air Force veteran and Congressional candidate, suggested questions that Congressman Horsford should answer at his appearance at the Asian Chamber of Commerce.

1. Will you disavow the New Green Deal?

2. Do you support Medicare for All?

3. Have you ever created a private sector job?

4. Do you support repealing the Trump tax cuts?

5. Can you tell us what taxes you believe should be increased?

“When Congressman Horsford first served in Washington, he failed to support small business. According to the National Federation of Independent Business, Horsford had a rating of ‘zero’ in supporting small business issues. I strongly believe that small business owners deserve some honest answers from him,” said Peters.

“The New Green Deal calls for an end to commercial travel. That would kill our local economy that is so dependent on tourism. Like so many other Las Vegas business owners, I believe that our Congressman should be disavowing the plan. Why hasn’t he opposed the plan? Is Horsford more loyal to Progressive DC Democrats or the people he is supposed to represent?” asked Peters.

After serving in the military, Peters built a successful small business that now employs 8 people.

“I know what it takes to sign the front of a paycheck and make payroll. We need a representative who understands these challenges. That’s why I support the Trump tax cuts and will work to lower the tax burden so our economy continues to grow. I don’t believe that Congressman

supports that agenda. He wants more bloated budgets, business killing regulations and higher taxes. We deserve better.”

Peters is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served his country in Afghanistan, Iraq, Panama, and Korea. He earned the Bronze Star for his efforts in Afghanistan.

After his service to our nation, Peters settled in Las Vegas with his family. Peters worked for two years as a corporate employee where he managed nearly $100 million in annual revenue across the largest geographical region in the United States. Exercising his entrepreneurial spirit, Peters founded Peters Family Insurance with two locations. He presently employees eight.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Park University. He finished his Master of Science in Administration, with focus on law, through Central Michigan University. His continued thirst for knowledge, has also led him through a Graduate-Level Certificate Program in Organizational Finance from the University of Maryland University College.
